Civil disobedience

Amid chants of “release him, release him” and the singing of Amazing Grace , police escort Canon Patrick Doran (in cloak), of St. Paul ‘s Westdale, Hamilton, Ont., into a police vehicle. He was taken to a local police station and released. Canon Doran led a group of about 200 protesters Nov. 5 through the Red Hill Valley . Construction crews have been demolishing hundreds of trees in the area to pave the way for a $300 million expressway.
