War chaplain pens book

Canon Laurence F. Wilmot, 92, of the diocese of Rupert’s Land, has written a memoir of his time as an Anglican chaplain during the last years of the Second World War. Through the Hitler Line: Memoirs of an Infantry Chaplain was published by Wilfrid Laurier University Press. During the winter of 1944, Mr. Wilmot served with the West Nova Scotia Regiment, part of the First Canadian Division patrolling the Ariella front lines in Italy. Through the Hitler Line is Mr. Wilmot’s third book.
