Bruce Jakeway of St. Paul’s church in the diocese of Edmonton is heading for the African nation of Chad to work as a translator under the auspices of Wycliffe Bible Translators. He left Edmonton last July to continue studying the French language in France.

He is scheduled to leave France at the end of January for three months of training in Cameroon before traveling to Chad in March. Chad’s official languages are French and Arabic.
