Police chaplain lauded by peers

A priest in the diocese of Algoma was recognized by his peers recently at an international conference of police chaplains.

Rev. Michael Dunnill, a police chaplain and honorary assistant at St. John?s church in Thunder Bay, Ont., received the Order of Merit at the International Conference of Police Chaplains in Spokane, Wash., in July. The award, a medal, recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to the growth and development of the chaplains? conference.

Mr. Dunnill, a past president of the conference, has served as Thunder Bay?s police chaplain since 1988.
