HMCS Iroquois has been ‘adopted’ by a Canadian parish.

The parish of Trinity Church, Cambridge, Ont., in Huron has “adopted” the Canadian naval destroyer HMCS Iroquois, currently stationed in the Arabian Sea and supporting allied forces in the Afghanistan war. Robert Skelding, associate priest at Trinity, encouraged the congregation to send letters, Christmas cards, video and audio tapes of the services and pictures to the 280 crew members aboard Iroquois, to show them Canadians are praying for them and supporting them.
