A place to start

The question about “a mission” and “church” is indeed central. Bishop Steve Croft (last year’s Vital Church Planting conference speaker) defined a fresh expression of church as “the attempt to go to where people are, listen carefully to the context and through service form new communities of faith that have the potential to grow into church in their own right.” That might possibly serve as a useful starting “definition that will shape our future.”
