Condolences

Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury, expressed his regret upon the death of Yasser Arafat (pictured during a meeting in January) in a statement Nov. 11. He recalled his conversations with Mr. Arafat “and the abiding strength of the commitment they revealed to the Palestinian people.” Archbishop Andrew Hutchison, the Canadian primate, also extended his condolences to Palestinians on the death of their leader.
