Vocational conference

Published April 1, 2002

The five Anglican bishops in the dioceses of British Columbia and the Yukon have organized an Anglican vocational conference for young people at Vancouver School of Theology, May 24-25. It is the first such conference. Archbishop David Crawley of Kootenay said the church must recruit young people because “we are moving into a whole new stage in life in our church.” To encourage participation, the bishops have offered to help defray travel costs and are asking parishes in B.C. and the Yukon to help. The school will accommodate participants at no charge so that the registration fee can be held to the cost of food, about $25.
