Video highlights of Atlantic National Event

Video highlights of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Atlantic National Event, held Oct. 26 to 29 in Halifax, are now available on the Anglican Journal website.

The Anglican Church of Canada, which operated 35 Indian residential schools across Canada participated in the event.  Beginning in the late 19th century, about 150,000 aboriginal children were taken from their families to attend residential schools in a government-sponsored program of forced assimilation.
