Sponsors needed

The Anglican Church of Canada’s partnerships department is seeking parishes willing to sponsor students at the Episcopal Seminary in Haiti for a three-month summer internship program in Canada, where they can learn English and gain knowledge about the Canadian church.

“To be able to function in English is, whether we like it or not, a great advantage for any priest in our church,” said Canon Philip Wadham, Canada’s mission co-ordinator for Latin America and Caribbean. Rev. Ogé Beauvoir, the new director of the Episcopal Seminary in Haiti, said he would like Haitian seminarians to have that advantage.
