Capt. Ray Taylor, director of the Church Army in Canada from 1952 to 1989, celebrates his 90th birthday at a party at Toronto ‘s Church of the Redeemer on July 20. The Taylor College of Evangelism, the Church Army college in Saint John , N.B., is named for Capt. Taylor and his late wife, Dorothy. Capt. Taylor, who lives in Toronto , received the Anglican Award of Merit in 1991.
