The Winnipeg-based Centre for Christian Studies said it is officially developing a climate “where it is increasingly possible for people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender to be more open.” At a celebration service on March 26, the centre was recognized as a “proud Anglican institution” by Integrity, a support group for gay Anglicans, and as an “affirming ministry” of the United Church through its support group, Affirm United.
