A conference called Magnetic Church, which will teach parish leadership teams how to help churches attract and retain new members, will be held in May in the diocese of Toronto. The conferences are led by Andrew Weeks, author of Welcome! Tools and Techniques for New Member Ministry. “The conference teaches you how to retool your church for what Mr. Weeks calls ‘practical evangelism,'” said David Robinson, consultant to the diocese’s congregational development team. They are set for May 12-13 at St. Mary’s church, Richmond Hill, Ont. and May 26-27 at St. George, Pickering, Ont.
