PWRDF elects president

Janet Dench, 38, a parishioner of St. George’s Place du Canada, Montreal, has been elected president of the board of directors of the incorporated Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund.

Ms. Dench is executive director of the Montreal-based Canadian Council for Refugees, and served on the PWRDF national committee as chair of the refugee sub-committee for seven years in the 90s. Fluently bilingual, Ms. Dench has volunteered with several Montreal-based refugee organizations and is currently a member of the advisory council of the law commission of Canada. The first annual general meeting for PWRDF was held in October.
