James Reed

Dr. James Reed, a former director of the Toronto School of Theology and professor of pastoral psychology and counselling at Trinity College of the University of Toronto, has died at 62 of a heart attack.

Dr. Reed was first ordained deacon in 1964. He was a respected and trusted facilitator for parishes in conflict and was known to give sage advice and balanced feedback on process. He was active as a teacher, administrator, and skilled psychotherapist. Dr. Reed retired in 1993.
