H1N1 virus triggers ‘common vessels’ ban

ears about the spread of the H1N1 virus, also known as swine flu, are curtailing religious activities. Leaders of the (Anglican) Church of England have recommended the communion chalice no longer be shared. This follows advice from Britain’s health department not to share “common vessels” for food or drink.
