Diocesan course combats drug use

The youth ministry of the diocese of Saskatchewan has scheduled a six-week course this fall to help parents fight the battle against drugs in their homes and communities. The course, entitled How to Drug Proof Your Kids, will be held at St. Alban’s Cathedral hall.

The course is an internationally-recognized parenting program developed by family and drug counseling experts in Australia; it is aimed at providing parents with tools “to help steer their children away from the harmful use of drugs and alcohol,” said the diocesan Web site.
