Deficit for diocese

The diocese of Rupert’s Land has proposed a draft budget for 2004 that forecasts a deficit of $47,300, but anticipates a balanced budget by 2005. Parish pledges were projected for 2004 as revenue of $620,000, the same amount as received six years ago. A total of $227,600 was allocated to support ministries in the wider church, including $87,000 to General Synod, $8,000 to provincial synod, $45,000 to northern Canadian outreach and $51,000 to global outreach.
