Published June 1, 2002

The four Anglican congregations in Moose Jaw, Sask. have voted to amalgamate. Bishop Duncan Wallace, of the diocese of Qu’Appelle, approved the move and a transition team appointed to implement the merger held its first meeting after Easter. The four congregations – St. John, St. Barnabas, St. George and St. Michael and All Angels, will join under a new name in a parish with a combined membership of between 450 and 600, of whom 130 to 150 worship in church on any given Sunday. Moose Jaw’s population is about 32,000.
