Confused about communion

Published April 1, 2005

Dear editor,

As the confusion in the Anglican Communion intensifies, your readers may find the following comment apt.

In reviewing the current situation, an English friend, a priest now retired and returned to England from Canada, comments: “I’m not sure as a member of the Anglican Church of Canada living in the United Kingdom if I am now out of communion with myself.”

Could it be a case of holy schizophrenia? Might it be catching?
