Clergy Leadership Institute created

Published September 1, 2008

The diocese of Ottawa has set up a Clergy Leadership Institute that will tap the leadership skills of experienced clergy who will serve as mentors for others.

The creation of the institute, part of the diocesan strategic plan, will also “bring in resources from academia and other professions to provide the opportunity for all clergy to explore their own leadership potential,” said Rev. Bill Byers, chair of the institute team.

The institute incorporates the work of three existing areas of leadership development in the diocese – the clergy development committee, the Fresh Start program, and the Post-Ordination program.
