Churches join forces to build new centre

Two Anglican parishes in Burnaby, B.C., are considering joining with two Lutheran and two United churches to build a large Christian centre which would serve as the church building for all six congregations.

The centre would accommodate up to four worship services at the same time.

The flexible seating would allow the whole space to be used as a unit for special occasions. Five of the six congregations have shrunk in the last decade, with only the Vancouver Chinese Lutheran congregation growing.
