Dean appointed

The diocese of Saskatoon has appointed the first woman to serve as dean of a Canadian cathedral. Rev. Susan Charbonneau will be dean of the diocese and rector of St. John’s Cathedral in Saskatoon

Ms. Charbonneau, a former addiction recovery counsellor, owned and operated an art gallery in Powell River, B.C. before returning to school at the age of 35 to study for ordination.

She has been rector of the River Valley parish since 1998.

 

Saskatchewan Anglican

Editor named

The Saskatchewan Anglican has appointed a new associate editor. Gwendolyn Gresham will replace Rev. Ed Lewis, who will become managing editor.

Ms. Gresham produced two documentaries on the genocide in Rwanda for World Vision and also published a British car magazine. She moved to Saskatoon last year.
