The Prince of Wales and Camilla Parker Bowles had their civil marriage blessed at St. George’s Chapel inside Windsor Castle on April 9. It is believed that Prince Charles’ mother, Queen Elizabeth II, declined to attend the wedding as it could conflict with her position as Supreme Governor of the Church of England and Defender of the Faith. The wedding, a 20-minute ceremony, took place earlier in the day.
