Archbishop honoured

Archbishop of Canterbury George Carey, in late May conferred the Lambeth degree of Doctor of Letters (D.Litt) on the Archbishop of Brisbane, Dr. Peter Hollingworth, governor general-designate of Australia. At a ceremony in Lambeth Palace, Archbishop Carey noted that Archbishop Hollingworth was being honored in recognition of his contribution to Christian social ethics over 40 years, especially for his work and published writings on poverty in Australia.
