ABC clerk arrested

Danny Lee Bishop, a salesperson at the Anglican Book Centre in the national church office in Toronto, was arrested July 13 and charged with committing fraud to a value of more than $5,000.

General Synod treasurer Jim Cullen said Mr. Bishop, 50, worked at the bookstore for eight years, but was dismissed after the arrest. Mr. Cullen said the bookstore staff is conducting a forensic audit. Mr. Bishop had worked at the cash register, ringing up sales and returns.
