Pensions department moves across street

Office space at Church House, 80 Hayden Street in Toronto, has been rather cramped since the day employees moved in to the four-storey offices in 2004. Departments which expand their work and, consequently, their staff needed to shoe-horn them in to existing space.

The pensions department, faced with the need to add more staff and no room to put them, decided to vacate their office effective Nov. 1, and to move into offices across the street at the corner of Hayden and Church streets.

The move has a two-fold benefit. It allows the department to expand and it also gives other Church House departments a bit more breathing room. A new department of philanthropy will be formed this year which will also require some room.
