ABC Publishing will launch a new book imprint as part of the resource production arm of General Synod. Called Path Books, the service will offer books and pamphlets on practical spirituality to enhance everyday living. The first Path Books are to be published later this year.

“Very often people feel that they have to keep life and religion in separate boxes,” said Robert Maclennan, ABC Publishing manager. “We want them to discover that Christian spirituality can make a real difference, that it can help people in practical ways.”

The books will be a reasonable length and price, he noted.

Previous ABC titles have been published mainly for people in parish ministry. These books will continue to be produced. Path Books will cover topics of concern to a larger population of Christians and are designed to also appeal to church leaders. They will cover such topics as health and illness, prayer and meditation, children and parenting, career and recreation, and important life stages.
