Pryce resigning

Published September 1, 2000

Suffragan Bishop Taylor Pryce is resigning from his role in the Diocese of Toronto, effective Dec. 31. The bishop has served in the diocese for 38 years, the last 15 as area bishop of York-Simcoe.

He said his age and body have given him the message that he should slow down. Bishop Pryce will also step down as priest-in-charge of St. Timothy’s, Newmarket. An election for a new suffragan bishop will be held Dec. 2.
