Canadian Anglican appointed to two Communion posts

Eileen Scully, co-ordinator for worship and ministry in the Anglican Church of Canada’s faith, worship and ministry department, has been named the new Chair of the International Anglican Liturgical Consultation (IALC). Ms. Scully is the first woman as well as the first lay person to hold this position.

In addition, Ms. Scully has been appointed to a small working group on the proposed Anglican Covenant. The group was appointed by the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Previously, Ms. Scully served on the Inter-Anglican Theological and Doctrinal Commission (IATDC) charged with finding ways to maintain unity. She said she is “incredibly honoured.”
