Telling their stories

The Toronto chapter of Integrity, a support group for gay and lesbian Anglicans, is preparing a publication about the lives of gay Anglicans for distribution at General Synod next spring. The working title, according to the August issue of Integrator, the group’s newsletter, is In the Pew Next to You. “People can more easily be dismissive of LGBT (lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgendered) people as an abstract idea or faceless group than they can of real people with real faces and names,” said a notice in the newsletter. Gay Anglicans willing to share their church experiences may write up to 500 words and send pictures to [email protected] or write to In the Pew Next to You, c/o Integrity Toronto, Box 873, Station F, Toronto, ON M4Y 2N9.
