Outskirts of Gaza

Decades of conflict between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas have left 80 per cent of the population living in poverty and dependent on international aid. The drive through Gaza City shows a sad terrain of tin shacks, dilapidated buildings, and roads littered with old car parts.
