New Kairos chair

Cheryl Curtis, executive director of the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund, the Anglican Church of Canada’s relief and development agency, has been appointed chair of the executive to the board of directors of Kairos.

The Toronto-based Kairos is a Canadian ecumenical group devoted to social justice issues.

Also appointed to the executive were Omega Bula, the executive minister in the justice and global ecumenical relations unit of the United Church of Canada; Jane Orion Smith, the general secretary of the Canadian Friends Service Committee, the peace and justice arm of Quakers in Canada; Rev. James Dekker, a minister in the Christian Reformed Church in North America and Benoit Bariteau, the associate general secretary of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops.
