Vianney (Sam) Carriere, director of communications and information resources, announced the appointment in mid-May of Keith Knight as the interim editor of the Anglican Journal. The appointment was made in the wake of Leanne Larmondin’s announced departure as editor.

Knight has a 35-year background in print journalism, working as editor for daily and weekly newspapers throughout Ontario. He also served as communications director of The Christian Reformed Church in North America and worked for nine years as communications director of The Presbyterian Church in Canada before accepting a position as interim communications coordinator for The Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund.

Knight, an award-winning journalist, said he is “both delighted and honored to be asked to fill this interim position. I have inherited a professional staff and a publication that has an excellent reputation. I am delighted to step into this office while the search is on for a permanent editor”.

He continues to serve on a number of ecumenical boards, including the World Association for Christian Communication. He is also president of their North American region association.
