Church House moving date set for April

The national church office will move to its new quarters at 80 Hayden St., Toronto, on the weekend of April 24-25, Archdeacon Jim Boyles, general secretary of the Anglican Church of Canada, has announced.

April 23 has been scheduled as a packing day for staff and the national office will be closed, Archdeacon Boyles said in a memo. General Synod has set a tentative date of Thursday, May 6, for a celebration of the move (an event that will begin in the old building and move to 80 Hayden); all former staff are invited to attend.

Archdeacon Boyles said that while the building will be ready by mid-March, more time is needed to install work stations and shelves.

“It may take longer to complete the move of the (Anglican Book Centre), although we will work to have it closed for only the shortest period possible,” Archdeacon Boyles added.

The main telephone number of the national office remains the same at 416-924-9199, as do all other phone numbers, extensions, fax numbers and e-mail addresses. For information about the move, contact General Secretary Jim Boyles ([email protected]) at extension 280 or General Synod treasurer Jim Cullen ([email protected]) at ext. 338. Information about the Anglican Book Centre may be obtained from general manager Dan Benson at ext. 226 ([email protected]).
