Anti-poverty funds available

Published November 1, 2007

The Kairos Anti-Poverty Fund has money available for local advocacy and community pro-jects that address the causes of poverty.

The fund, set up by religious organizations and churches (including the Anglican Church of Canada) is focused on supporting projects “that build the capacity of people living in poverty to take a leadership role in advocating for poverty reduction.” Kairos estimates that about 3.5 million Canadians live in poverty.
