Residential schools memorial

Charles Soney, a member of the Walpole Island First Nation in Ontario, searches for names of fellow students on a monument commemorating children from the reserve who attended Indian residential schools in Canada. The monument, a project of the Walpole Island Residential Schools Survivors Group and the Walpole Island Heritage Centre, was dedicated Aug. 9.
