This year marks the 130th anniversary of publishing an independent Anglican newspaper in Canada.
Enclosed with this month’s copy of the Anglican Journal and your diocesan newspaper is the 2005 Anglican Journal Appeal. Please take a moment to read Journal editor Leanne Larmondin’s letter to you.
Responses to the mailing sent out in June are encouraging, but we still need your help if we are to reach our goal. Why not celebrate 130 years of Anglican legacy by sending your 2005 gift? Your financial support will ensure that the Anglican voice and spirit are kept alive and will continue to grow long into the future.
Through a shared revenue agreement, half of your donation to the Anglican Journal Appeal is returned to the diocesan newspapers.
You can send in your gift by cheque or credit card, using the return envelope provided. Many readers find it easier to donate online to the Journal Appeal. Go to our Web site, anglicanjournal.com and follow the link, “Donate now through CanadaHelps.org.” Your donation, which is processed by CanadaHelps.org, a not-for-profit Web site, is completely secure.
Please send in your gift and please be generous – 130 years is a milestone that deserves to be honoured. If you have already sent in your 2005 donation, please accept our thanks.
