Thank you Bishop Royal for clearly pronouncing the Gospel full-meal deal. The Evangelists are so clear (not confused) about the physical bodily nature of this. "Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”

If HE was not resurrected bodily why would all the disciples forfeit their lives to gruesome deaths far from home. The one who travelled the farthest was Thomas & he too was martyred there. One does not die for a fable as the modern world thinks but only for a fact they know to be true. Too bad the modern world cannot believe it but it can believe a Virus you cannot see with a naked eye or a theory they cannot understand like the theory of relativity. It is case of Biblical wisdom of " seeing but donot see, hearing but donot hear " . They study Theology but donot see the "truth" like Pilate.

So glad to see someone writing sense here, and proclaiming the truth of the gospel that Jesus died and he rose from the dead in his body. Praise God for the truth that we should all be proclaiming. The bogus ideas of no bodily resurrection means our religion is "having a form of godliness but denying His power". (2 Timothy 3:5). The power that we have is only because of the bodily resurrection of Jesus, as He is now exalted above all, AND we now have His Holy Spirit in us. We should be expecting more and more miracles, including seeing bodily resurrections in our day, and healings, and the gifts of the Spirit being demonstrated. This is the power that will draw all people to Jesus, as it did when he lived on earth. I am excited to see what God is doing and is going to do.
Thanks Joey and keep preaching it!

Admirable theology, clear thinking, good grammar requires “IS caught up in”, but that’s venial. There’s hope for our Church yet!

The South could do with more such people in charge of theological education in our dioceses, don’t you think?
