It is so strange that Christian leaders are attacked for proclaiming the truth of the Word. That homosexual marriage is forbidden for Christians should be plain to any knowledgeable person who reads the bible. I would appreciate hearing more about the struggles of these Christians working to defend marriage from the worldly conformers. Bad enough that we allow for adultery through remarriage. (Thanks for nothing, Henry the VIII) That said, I support members of the community who wish to enter civil marriage. But church marriage is for Christians.

If we are to say and do nothing false teaching shall and has taken root in the church and has ,as we see in the church now.If we are to let the two grow beside each other , Paul erred several times in doing so , as with the man caught in sexual immorality ,(1 Corinthians 5), Hymenaeus and Alexander,(1 Timothy 1:20). Wrong teaching has to be dealt with in the church,well not the Anglican church lately ,they seem to take great pleasure in embracing it.

I would like to know what the reporter (David Paulsen) means by “the compromise” reached by General Synod. didn’t the Synod authorize rites for same-sex marriage? And didn’t the Synod intend these rites be available in all American dioceses?
To my way of thinking, this is interesting because a Bishop is exercising his lawful, canonical authority. So, this Bishop is just not following along with the General Synod policies. Here in Canada, we have a General Synod, a body made up of representatives (clergy and lay) from all dioceses. As well, all the bishops attend General Synod. But, what is the authority of a Bishop in his diocese?????If maverick Liberal bishops (Ingham in Canada, Spong in the USA) were pushing the gay agenda, why is a traditional Bishop not allowed to determine and be the deciding factor in the policies in his Diocese? And, here in Canada, why is the House of Bishops not able to make clear decisions, or to provide leadership? Probably because it is conflicted.
Bishop Love’s pastoral letter is 8 pages long. It is well written, and it is carefully thought out. He is not reacting emotionally, and he does not reject or malign gay people. He just isn’t giving them all they want. I think his letter is worth reading. Personally, I appreciate and respect the stand he is taking.

It is time to be bold & resolute about our faith & live out the teachings of Jesus despite opposition from the world. We will face persecution as Jesus was persecuted for His faith. Tares & Wheat do not go hand in hand. God has not changed His commandments.

We are warned about the Tares that were sowed by the enemy in the garden and during the night seeds were sown which eventually grew to be not the ones of God’s kingdom. If we heed this warning we will see how far we have strayed from the fold and we must repent and change our ways of living according to the Holy Scriptures.

In reply to Duleep Jesudian. Jesus told His disciples to leave the Tares be and not remove them from the garden as they might remove those that are of the fold. Though growing together the end times will have those qualified to identify those that will be thrown to the fire and the wheat into the barn. Because of His mercy we are allowed to grow together and live our lives for Him and wait for His eventual return and the time will come for the angels to identify His own.

Jesus told His disciples to leave the tares alone and allow them to grow together with the good plants. He told them that those qualified to identify the good from the bad and separate them in due time for harvest. In the mean time, we serve the Lord and follow His lead today.

The Tares & Wheat that grew together is a truth & parable that Jesus taught to the disciples. We are not qualified to pass judgement on any person despite their gender, sexual orientation. In the end angels will gather & separate those of us who have a destiny by choice. God our Father is merciful & He has given us the life of prayer to reach the end faithful to His Word. JESUS welcomed all sinners & was specific to the women caught in adultery to go & sin no more. We are to welcome everyone to the church & hope that they would come & see GOD’s love and realize in time their sinful nature & repent. We are all sinners who are saved by grace & think there by the grace of GOD I have not been tempted by it. But we should not approve it officially, sad to say that many leaders practice it.
