Applications for financial assistance from the Friends of Canterbury Cathedral in Canada are now available to senior divinity students interested in joining a three-week course at the International Study Centre at Canterbury Cathedral.

The course includes seminars and lectures by theologians and academics on subjects relevant to Anglican churches around the world. ?It is hoped that the exchange of ideas between the participants from many different cultures will help to heal the rift in understanding between members of the widespread branches of the Anglican Communion,? said R.S. McKegney, board member of the Friends of Canterbury Cathedral in Canada .

The International Study Centre, opened in 2001, is an educational facility that conducts courses and conferences up to three weeks for clergy and researchers from across the Anglican world.

Application forms for financial assistance are available from the registrars’ offices of all Anglican theological schools in Canada .
