A majority of dioceses in the Church of England have refused to approve the proposed Anglican Communion Covenant. It won’t be considered by the General Synod in England until at least 2016.Response across the Anglican Communion has been divided. In the U.S., the executive council of the Episcopal Church has drafted a resolution that states the church is “unable to adopt the Anglican Covenant in its present form.”
