My insight getting ready for Maundy Thursday is that Jesus’ command was not “wash each others’ feet” but “love one another”, Imagining ways to love each other in these circumstances is the challenge; physical distancing as a way to love one another is counter-intuitive. I’m grateful Anglicans are good with ambiguity and imagination. I am so impressed with the clergy of Kootenay who are creative with worship.
