In reply to <a href="https://anglicanjournal.com/new-primate-foresees-time-of-change-for-national-church/#comment-26278">tony saloway</a>.

My thoughts exactly! We are seeing less and less marriages in the church, and have for a few years now, so why is this such a pressing issue? That is the point my husband and I brought to our Bishop. The ACC has bigger fish to fry. Like why are some Bishops not being disciplined for breaking their vows to uphold the doctrines (including marriage) and disciplines of the ACC.?

I wish our new primate well in her incredibly challenging task. One thing puzzles me. She appears to endorse the notion that the church could stop celebrating marriages entirely, as she notes that the uptake on such services has dwindled almost to vanishing point. In that case, why has the church been tearing itself apart over same-sex marriage this past number of years? Just asking.

One of the easier things that might help if for the national synod to recommend/approve one (not many choices from Internet sources) like More Voices (United Church) to help with song choices for worship that is more up-to-date with world music, etc., (until a new Canadian Common Praise is developed). It would also help if recommendations from national synod office for trials alternate liturgies were not able to be vetoed by bishops.
