Let's try to get a handle on the phrase "people of faith." What is wrong with the word Christian, or Anglican? Both of those choices offer a tighter defining of someone who might act with integrity, out of a desire to see God honoured in the world through thoughtful participation in the political process. It's not like Peter Elliot is writing for multiple magazines and shopping his opinion piece around for the highest bidder. He knows his writing is going to be in the Anglican. So why does he choose "people of faith" to describe Anglican readers? He waters our beliefs down with such a turn of phrase because even secular thinkers have faith that their secular viewpoint is true. Please, let's own our faith by naming it, we followers of Jesus.
