I think the initiative of the primate was wonderful.

A qualification: "Archbishop Ron Cutler participated in Heartbeat with a group of rectors and again with a group of associate parish priests and non-stipendiary priests in the diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island." Not the primate's fault, but where are the people who are the heartbeat? The fabled man(person)-in-the-pew? No quotations from Mr. X or Mrs. Y.

In my own parish, there was mention of the initiative--my wife and I were interested--but the structures of the church meant that in our case, nothing developed, as far as I know. Without becoming some sort of (negative) popularist, the Anglican communion needs to realize that "the church" is not the ordained people.

The gay community and Fred Hiltz actively promote togetherness. I pray for Fred. Someday he will see he is on the wrong path. The gay community should start their their own church with their own ministers. Maybe Fred could be the first one leading their home. The gay community will lead the Anglican church to it's ruins. Can't you see that? Don't be blind.. Look around you and see oth denominations closing and splitting with this issue. Please do not promote it.
