Journal wins 10 church press awards

The Anglican Journal was honoured 10 times at May’s Canadian Church Press awards.

The Journal and its editor, David Harris, and art director, Saskia Rowley, were awarded top prizes for general excellence in newspapers, for layout and design and for the front page (in addition to receiving an honourable mention for another front page.)

A feature story by Vianney Carriere, Anglicans in Brazil, won an honourable mention, as did the Lytton decision articles by Kathy Blair.

Also receiving honourable mentions for their work in the Journal were freelance photographers David Eijsenck and David Rossiter and artist Lester Clarke.

Archbishop Michael Peers won an honourable mention for his column Grace Notes.
