This seems to be a misconception that is being taken up by those who were not at the consultation or for that matter at any event where Indigenous Anglican self-determination has been discussed. This is a conversation that has been going on since the 1970, if not sooner. One need only do some research to find out what this is all about so that an untruth like is not perpetuated.

What does separation have to do with reconciliation ? How does conservatism damage the church ?, holding faithfully to what the Bible says is “damaging”?

I am absolutely appalled by your remarks. I have a question for you! what are your views on reconciliation? the church has damaged us enough…. ACNA and ACA have broken away from the Anglican Church of Canada because of it’s conservatism. Their conservatism and the very things they stand for, can damage a lot of anglicans in canada as well, we don’t need more damage, we need reconciliation.

That decision will not happen until GS 2019! ). Thus, it is okay for our Indigenous brothers and sisters to have their own church because of the possible “changes to church law”. But why is it not okay for other groups, like ACNA, and ACA, who were formed for similar reasons, to be included under the Anglican Umbrella? Just a thought.
