The “stewardship” sermons are invariably about giving money; there is stewardship of the waters, the land, the air, etc. Rarely mentioned in a “stewardship” sermon. The question for my wife and me is not “how much to give to the church” (or to charities), but of the 100% of that with which we are entrusted, how do we make our decisions. It may mean, for example, spending “our own” money to restore a wetland for wildlife. Or to pay a heating bill for the church building. Or. . .
