Four receive Anglican Award of Merit

The Anglican Award of Merit, conferred on lay people who have made an outstanding contribution to the church, is given this year to: Betty Gracie, of the Diocese of Toronto, Canadian director of the Anglican Fellowship of Prayer; Kendra Gregson, of the Diocese of Niagara, a long-time youth worker and now with CARE International in Zagreb, Croatia; Canon Michael Iveson, of the Diocese of Ottawa, chair of the financial management and development committee of General Synod; and Garth Walker of the Diocese of New Westminister, chair of the archives committee of General Synod. The awards are made by the church’s Council of General Synod.
